Tea x Porcelain – a modern tea ceremony with handcrafted porcelain vessels at Atelier Hohe See
Join us for a thoughtfully curated tea ceremony led by Nele Seyfahrt (@studiosilence.de), who uses tea as a way to foster deeper connections — with yourself and with nature. Her “Communitea” gatherings combine tea with moments of mindfulness, often including meditation or poetry, to create a meaningful and calming experience.
As a product designer, Sanne Steckel (@atelierhohesee.de) creates ceramics that accompany everyday rituals with quiet presence. With their pure, understated shapes, her pieces encourage a tactile, mindful engagement.
In collaboration, Nele and Sanne unite carefully selected teas and delicate porcelain vessels to create a moment of tranquillity, enjoyment, and connection. The event begins with a guided meditation to center and prepare you for the tasting.
Participants will then enjoy a well selected high-quality tea and a refreshing herbal cold brew, served in the designstudio of Sanne in Berlin Kreuzberg, amidst a welcoming environment of creativity and craftsmanship. Whether you’re a tea lover or simply curious, this modern take on the traditional tea ceremony is an invitation to pause, reconnect, and savoring the present.

Taste the Legacy and Set the Anchor for Aging Puerh – 1950s Puerh Tea Tasting (15:00 - 17:00)
The timeless allure of aged Sheng Pu’er — an alchemical transformation unfolding in every leaf.
From the ancient forests of Yunnan, where tea trees have stood for centuries, come rare Pu’er teas that embody the dialogue between nature and time. In this exclusive workshop, we will explore middle-aged Pu’er teas, aged over 50 years — a living testimony to patience, care, and the invisible art of preservation.
Few producers today still hold original stocks of these ancient teas. To taste them is to witness a history that can no longer be replicated — a rare opportunity to experience the pure essence of time itself.
Through guided tastings, we will immerse ourselves in the depth and elegance of mature Pu’er — exploring its layered aromas, silky textures, and the quiet strength that only decades of aging can create. Each cup reveals a different chapter of time, inviting us to sense how the years transform liveliness into harmony, and energy into wisdom.
Join us for a sensory and cultural journey into the heart of Pu’er — the tea that does not simply age, but evolves.

Incense and tea: the Chinese art of fragrance (18:00 - 20:00)
For over two
thousand years, Chinese culture has grown a strong relationship
with fragrances that finds one of its expressions into incense,
as a starting point to communicate and dialogue with nature,
and as a way to widen our understanding of the universe, space,
and time.
Chinese
fragrance culture has constantly evolved along the centuries,
finding refined ways to extract the best essence from
long-lasting fragrant spices changing from burning of herbs and
wood to resins, elaborated burners, heating methods and
fumigations.
In this
event we'll discover the Chinese art and culture of incense,
and how it can elevate the tea-tasting experience, with a
journey in history that begins in the Spring and Autumn
periods, continues from the great Han and follows the heights
of Tang and Song dynasties, over 1000 years ago, when people
were paying the utmost attention to the elegance of life and
daily life was inseparable from incense.
Seats are limited, and participants will receive a 10% discount coupon to use on all our products during the main days of the Berlin Tea Festival: we suggest to book your seat soon to avoid missing your chance!

The Alchemists: Not a Tea Ceremony (13:30 -15:00)
In their centuries-old tradition, Taiwanese tea craftsmen practice an alchemy not of metals, but of leaves. From a single bush of Camellia Sinensis, they conjured forth ten families of tea — amongst them the Oriental Beauty, Iron Bodhisattva, and Ruby No.18 — as well as countless more variations beyond easy classification.
Guided by
tea scientist Dr. Po-An Chen and tea artist Molan Jin, The
Alchemists is a social game that
offers a new
glimpse into this heritage.
Here, we
begin with the senses, peeling back layers of floral, fruity,
woody, and honeyed notes –– and sensations one cannot begin to
name. As the journey unfolds, experts unveil the craft and
science behind these sensations: the chemistry of oxidation,
the artistry of roasting, and the cultural weight of
history.
This is not
a ceremony, but a sensory odyssey that begins with feelings and
ends with knowledge—in every cup, a sip of culture and
science.

As the first museum in Berlin to integrate tea culture as a regular part of its cultural program, The Feuerle Collection, founded in 2016 by Désiré Feuerle and Sara Puig, continues its pioneering commitment to the dialogue between art, ritual, and the senses. Berlin Viewing - with open tea table, open for all (17:00 - 20:00)
sensible- a solo exhibition
Exhibition of works by ceramic artists David Louveau
With textiles by Anna Johansson
We invite you to join us at the Berlin viewing, no reservation needed, no costs
David Louveau’s work embodies a return—both literal and philosophical. After decades of exploring rugged stoneware, wood-firing, and anagama kilns, his current direction is quieter, more distilled.
This shift began in 2023, following the tragic loss of his kiln. Rather than rebuild what was, Louveau chose transformation. Inspired by the Korean potter Sampei and his own foundational training in Japan, he turned to Hakuji-style porcelain— a method rooted in simplicity, balance, and grace.
This
exhibition is focused around David's current focus on matte and
sensible white porcelain.
